Non-believers and some seekers would be looking at the recent events in my life and say "Where is God in all of this? Why would He take a father away from two young ladies?" First off, I am not, nor will I be the only woman placed into this situation.
This is where God has been in all of this:
-He was seen in the angels I have for neighbors, Chip and Amy. He was in the timing, by having Chip and Amy up later than usual, to accept Jaydee and Kendra into their home while I dealt with the EMTs and other officials. Then He provided an alternative place for the girls to spend the night, on Chip and Amy's couches.
-He was seen in Tammie, who willingly came over to be there for support for all of us during this event. Then again as she sat by my side during visits to the funeral home and planning session at church.
-His timing was as perfect as could have been. 1) George was home and not on the road. 2)He wasn't behind the wheel of a fully loaded truck. 3) I was home, and hadn't left for California, yet. 4) Kendra wasn't the only one at home, which could very well have been the case if this happened on that Friday.
-As His timing continued to be shown; Mom already had the time off and was able to come here and help with details and support. Even cleaning my house, while I worked on paperwork and "administrative" details.
-In the days that followed, He was in every prayer said on our behalf. He was in every caring voice who asked "How are you doing?" He was in every hug given. He was in every cleansing tear shed. He is in every card and message received.
-He has been seen in the care and concern given to the girls by their respective school Administrators. (Note:On Tues. a.m., I asked for a TeamMate to be matched with Kendra. I've come to find out...that afternoon, the TeamMate's office happened to have called the school asking if there was a possible match, as they had an opening)
-I have been blessed to have two very dear brothers in Christ give the Memorial Service, and stand by me through it all.
-We were blessed to have Grandma Hud, and the others from AZ, be here in time for Kendra's final performance at our church Christmas Program.
-Every time a piece of forgotten but needed information appeared before me, He was there.
-He provided others to clean out George's truck, so I didn't have to find the time and energy needed to do so.
-He's in the offers to help with "memory builders" such as "Memory Bears" (thanks Mom) and Memory quilts (thanks Janell).
-He will be there in the months to come, as well. As we move forward, we remember FROG -- Fully Rely On God.
For me to say "God wasn't by my side" would certainly be Satan's hand, not God's!

That was beautifully written.
You are a brave and strong women with the grace of God. Bless You!
Your faith is and inspiration to all of us.
Love, Mom
Your faith is keeping you strong. It's been a burden on my heart that you and your girls are facing the same situations that Grandma Rachel and Shirley & I did way back in '69. If you EVER need ANYTHING - and I do mean ANYTHING - we're here for you.
