Just letting everyone know, I'm doing ok. Feeling much more productive and functional today, than yesterday. I realize (through all of the counseling classes I've taken), there will be good days and bad days.
I am so blessed with an awesome support team, including my blood family and my church family. I have a number of people who have been checking in with me frequently, to see how I'm doing. That has really helped keep me grounded.
We (Mom, Tammie and I) completed most of the memorial service arrangements today. I still have some odds and ends things to do, such as locate and organize pictures to display.
The girls went back to school, today. I went in and talked to either the Principal or Vice Principal at both of their schools, to let them know of George's death. They helped by informing the teachers of the situation. Jaydee chose to come home at 1:45, but Kendra made it through the day. After our usual Weds. night church activities, they both came home in good spirits. It is my goal to keep as much routine in place as possible.
Thank you to all who have been praying. The prayers have truly been felt.

Cindy; I just can't believe this happened! My heart goes out to you and Jaydee & Kendra. I wasn't much older than they are when I lost my dad, so my heart is really breaking for them. Will keep you all in my fervant prayers daily. Thanks for this post - keep them coming so we can stay in touch.
Love to all.
There is nothing I can say which will ever diminish your pain, your sorrow, your loss. Know that you are in our thoughts and we wish you peace in time.
If blogging helps, then please do. If reading helps, The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion is one of my favourite books when the world is gray and dark from my eyes. If praying helps, let us know and we will pray with you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
