Back to school activities are on the agenda for the next week. Shopping and haircuts (well, Jaydee's still debating on that activity) are this weekend. Kendra's Open House is next Thurs. Jaydee doesn't have one, because her school is partially under renovation, yet. (we are all praying it will be complete in 10 days, when school starts) Sunday School starts the Sunday after Labor Day. We are done with registrations, now we are working on (Confirmation) Orientation and (Youth Leader) Volunteer training. Those are both on deck for the next week or so. Aug. 21 is the day I can sign up for the next quarter's classes at SCC. I hope the Fall schedule has better options than this quarter had. Hardly any 200 level classes were available in the evenings or online. I'm not quite to those classes, yet, but will be soon enough.
It's kinda weird looking for school supplies at this age. But gotta do what I gotta do. (how's that for excellent grammar!?) To be honest, I'm looking forward to the "stress" of keeping up with classes. It's almost been too boring these last couple of weeks. (Not saying that very loudly, God seems to hear me when I say stuff like that!)
Tuesday, I attended an informational meeting on becoming a travel agent. (I know. I know! Just add one more thing to my plate.) That job is very flexible and would certainly work around a day-class school schedule. If God really wants me to do that, I'll be getting a phone call. (Matt 7:7, I am knocking, Lord!) :) Considering every "occupation assessment" test I've taken has had this as an occupation I would do well in, I thought I'd give it a shot. My heart is still working with teens in a counseling/youth director position. Just need something to get me from here to there! The "perks" that were mentioned in the meeting would be kinda cool...like gift certificates and discounts to hotels and airlines. THAT I could live with as a benefit! :D (Is anyone seeing Grandma Rachel or Clara here!? lol) So Kendra has the musical talent (from the Anderson's), apparently I have the love to travel gene!

Sounds hectic. Hope the travel agent job works out for you. It sounds like a better job and more enjoyable than what you are doing.
