Just taking a breather...plus letting everyone know I'm still here! lol
That first week of classes was a bit exhausting. All three classes had assignments due within the first three days. Now that they are all on a different schedule, it's a bit easier to manage. Loving the accounting class (go figure). The Lifespan Development (my first "Sophomore" class) is ok, just a bit redundant as the first part is going over the development of fetus to baby to toddler. Been there done that! lol The Business Communication is the one I really have to put some effort into. I will say I'm learning more in this class than I have in the 20 some years I've worked in an office.
This week is going to be busy to say the very least. Saturday is at the Carson's. Sunday, Kendra is attending a friend's pool/birthday party, while Jaydee is having a "spa" at my house. (we're pampering feet and hands) Then Sunday is a BBQ for the Youth Group...including beach volleyball. Monday and Tuesday are open, at the moment...subject to change of course! Wednesday is packing day! Thursday is an early night, as we have to be on the road by 4 a.m. to be at the airport by 5. Between Monday and Wednesday, I'm going to try to have as many of my class assignments done ahead of time, so I don't have a whole lot of homework while I'm on the trip.
The funny thing about the flight to AZ is the timing. We leave Omaha at 7:00 a.m. and land in Phoenix at 7:50 a.m. So it looks like it's only a 50 minute flight. Since we go through two time zones, it's actually 2 hours and 50 minutes. Jaydee is not liking the idea of having to shut her phone off completely for 3 hours...typical teen! lol Kendra is reading "Eragon." If she finishes that book (which is highly likely,) she'll be reading "Eldest," the second book of the series, during the flight.
We checked the weather for Phoenix...guess what! It's going to be HOT! I know, absolutely shocking for this time of year. Seeing 103-109 on the actual weather forecast was an eye-opener for the girls. Jaydee's first comment was "we can go swimming!" Kendra wants to play soccer with the boys, so she's not liking the weather. They may have to play super early in the morning. It will be interesting to hear the stories, when we get back. (We need to get Jaydee a blog!) I'm sure Kendra will be blogging away!
