This is the day...

"This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad!"

The last two days, the wind was blowing like crazy. The wind was still blowing, when I woke up this morning. Behind the wind, I could hear the rain hitting the window. At first, I groaned and thought "this would be a good 'stay in bed' type of day". Then this verse popped into my head. I'd much rather have a nudge from God, than a thump to the head (those thumps can hurt sometimes.) So embracing this, I am watching it rain and appreciating the nourishment it is giving the other living things around us. The trees are starting to bud and the rain will keep the pollen count down.

Yesterday, there were motorcycles driving down the street by my office. It was almost as if they were teasing me about being outside "playing." Today, the distractions aren't there.

This morning, on the way to dropping Jaydee off at school, I almost hit a Mallard duck, who was sitting in a parking lot. Poor little guy looked dazed and confused. He wasn't where God intended him to be. A concrete parking lot is a far cry from a lake of water. That thought made me think "I wonder how many of God's children are like that duck? How many are not where He intended them to be. How lost and confused are these children of God?"

The geese at Fairplay must have thought I was lost last night. They really started "talking" when I got close to them.
