Catching up...

ok not really, I'm actually avoiding my poetry homework. Mid-term is due tonight at 11:55. I am supposed to analyze the classmates' fixed form poetry, as well as write a 700-word paper on one of the poems in our textbook. I will be so thankful when we shift to fictional writing, next week!
Speaking of school, I am soooo loving the counseling class! The teacher is two years younger than me, and is from Valley. Other than the lady (mother of 7) from Sudan, I am the oldest in the class. That's ok, though. One classmate is from Lyons, but I can't remember her last name. I am looking into possibly changing from the Academic Transfer to the Human Services AA program. It would open up future job possibilities, that would not be available to a Psych. degree. (To really "make money" in the Psych field, I would have to go into clinical research or would need a Masters degree at minimum.)
Registration for next quarter was last Weds. I will be taking "Personal Finance" online, and "Abnormal Psychology" on campus.

I must tell about the little stinker, I'm raising. Kendra had been on a mission to make sure I had roses for Valentine's Day. She would ask me for the phone number to the floral dept. at a couple of the grocery stores. I would then explain she would need a credit card to order anything over the phone. So Weds., after church, we stopped at a grocery store, on the way home. While Jaydee and I were getting things we needed, Kendra headed to the floral dept. After a couple of cell phone calls, she had all of my work info. (address, phone# etc.) As we were checking out, she had something behind her back, and was asking me for $2. After I gave her the cash, she took off for her own checkout line. In the car, on the way home, she announces that she was sorry she couldn't send flowers, because it was $20 more than what she had saved. Thurs. a.m. she presents me with a pretty pink lace heart with dark chocolates inside. (love those antioxidants!) After lunch, here comes the (grocery store) delivery van, with a single rose in a vase, for me. No she couldn't send me flowerS, but she could send a flower! Little stinker!

Jaydee's in "Jaydee's World". Typical teen...total focus is on friends and extra curricular activities. We will be dress shopping this weekend, for some upcoming event at Campus Life (Christian organization).

(last but not least) Gratitude check:
-Thank God for the brains to see a fraudulant e-mail when I see one. (Also thanks to the BBB, who is working with me in reporting this matter to the FTC.) Note: After receiving 3 AVON "orders" from bogus people, I decided to do something about it this time, instead of "ignor"ing it, like the AVON director told me to do.
-Thank God Emily has signed on for the ID trip! (The bus is reserved! whoohoo!)
-Thank God we now have 14 girls signed up and are now looking for a THIRD female sponsor! This is beyond our wildest dreams to have this many signed up to go! (Considering the first trip like this only had 4 girls signed up)
-Thank God for Dare2Share being a sell-out. Over 6000 are expected to attend, here in Lincoln next Fri and Sat. (prayers for better weather than last year, would be appreciated!)
-Thank God for space heaters! (Lord, spring cannot come soon enough this year!)

I don't see how you do and stick to doing weight watchers. I would so be hitting fast food all the time.
