30 days down

Being accountable, how am I doing on my plans for the year, now that 30 days have past?

"reach my goal weight". Of the 20 left to lose, I'm now down to 15.4 "to go". That's for the Weight Watchers' goal. I do have a personal goal of another 10 more. First, I want to be able to maintain at the WW goal.

"start college savings plans for the girls" I have a meeting with the investment banker at my bank on Friday.

"using 'Good Sen$e' lessons" I have paid off two small debts. Now that monthly money can go to the next debt on the list.

"work on Associates Degree" 3 weeks down, 9 to go for this quarter. At the end of these classes, I will have 25% of my required credits. In two weeks, I sign up for my next quarter's classes. May have to bite the bullet and take that stupid science class, which is required. (yuck) I think I'd rather have a root canal without anesthesia.

"organized living environment" This one is not going so well. I have boxes and bags set to go to Goodwill. I keep thinking "I have more to add, before I take those over". Need to just do it and be done with it. I bought an over-the-door shoe organizer. That seems to work a bit better than the shoe rack, which we all trip over. May have to buy some more of the over-the-door things, could be used for extra storage, since that is one thing this place seems to lack...storage space.

"travel lots" It's a good thing my boss likes me. The girls and I have been to Kansas City. On the calendar I have: March-trip to Portland, Oregon ("mom respite", visiting friends and PSU campus) May-trip to Montana (George's memorial and spreading of the ashes) June- trip to Couer D'Alene, ID (Youth group mission trip to a work camp). July or August - trip(s) to AZ to bring the girls to visit Grandma Hudd and Aunt Sherrie, then return to pick them up. I figure if I have to pay for a chaperone, I just as well earn the frequent flier miles. Sometime before Dec., Mom and I will be using our vouchers to go to California.

Good going, Cindy. Personally, I think the organization thing would be the hardest for me, too. But I now have a plan in place for that, too.
