The last time I said "I'll go!", I ended up in Canada. (Trips to San Antonio and (Dulce) New Mexico don't count, I intended to go on both of those trips. Now, it looks like I'm going to Sacramento with Mom, in December. Boss has given me clearance. Last thing to cover is who's going to watch the girls for a few days. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, as I am blessed with a huge circle of friends.
The cool part is being able to celebrate my birthday on the west coast! My buddy, Charlotte's birthday is the day before mine. I'm hoping she can meet up in Sac, so we can actually celebrate together for the first time in 15 years or so. I have a list of people I would love to meet up with, in the short amount of time we will be there. Heck, might even see who's left at the California Chamber of Commerce.
Or Kevin, Woody and Russ...other "birthday buddies"...we used to celebrate our Dec. birthdays together. UCD alumni, but living elsewhere. Russ is in NM, Kevin and Woody are in OR. Kevin and his wife (also a friend) both have family in CA.
The possibilities are endless!
