Thought provoking questions

Answers to LDCP's questions.
This was very thought provoking!

1. When you were 18, what did you imagine your future would look like? How close is your reality to your vision?
I was going to move to Portland, OR and major (at Portland State University) in Business - Accounting. Made it as far as Davis/Sacramento, CA. (Got the coast right!) After marriage and kid #1, moved back to Nebraska. Now that kid #2 is almost 11, I'm (finally?) taking college courses towards a degree in Psychology. Can you say "detour"?

2. What is one piece of advice you wish you'd been given as a young person?
lol! Before the age of 30, I thought I knew it all! Little did I know how much I didn't know. I'm not sure I would have even listened. Keep your butt in college until you are finished. It will be a (bitch) of a time to do it when you have kids. I'm constantly telling the girls not to get married until they are 25 and have a college degree.

3. What is the best money you ever spent?
(will be) on my college degree and any expenses involved.

4. What was your biggest financial mistake-the complete waste of money that haunts you to this day?
all the money wasted in my youth on booze and having a good time. Very expensive lesson.

5. What has been the best surprise of married life? And the worst? Kids and Kids

6. What is the best thing about being a woman? And the worst? Feeling a child grow, during pregnancy. (worst) Childbirth. Trying to have it all: family and career

7. At this point of your life, is there a dream which you will never fulfill? What is it and what makes you so sure it's out of reach?
As long as I am breathing and physically able, there is a chance to achieve that dream. (Too many to list here.) "giving up" is not an option.
