God's Will

"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light." Colossians 1:9-12 (NIV)

This verse was in my "daily encouragement" e-mail this morning. Even though I haven't been meditating on it, I am struggling with what God's Will really is, in my life. I'm drawn to the Youth Ministry. However, there are days in which I question God's plan.

It is amazing how God will work through others. Since the trip to New Mexico, I have been asking "what do you want me to do? Do you still want me with the Youth Group? WHERE do you want me?" Every time I start to doubt my walk towards the Youth Ministry, one of the youth I have been working with will do something that says "this is where you want to be"...kinda like God thumping me on the head. Yesterday, for example one of the guys (who had been on the trip) came up and gave me a bear hug! Just totally out of the blue. THAT is why I'm doing this.

The "WHERE" question is a struggle. I am drawn to the Cascade Moutains area. Most of my family is here, in Nebraska. Do I follow my heart? or head? If I am following God's Will, He will open the doors (as well as close) to "lead me to where He needs me".
