Preparations

As if my life weren't crazy enough, I've added something to my agenda/calendar. I have an interview, this afternoon, at Christian Heritage Homes. It is similar to a group home for foster children. The position is an Administrative Assistant position.

Last night, our group packed our tools and equipment needed for the workcamp. We started out with 9 totes, but only used 7. Good start, in my opinion. The Youth Leader and I made arrangements for picking up the vans we will be driving. (of course, since then, those plans have changed slightly!)

Tonight, I will be cleaning and doing laundry...preparing to pack.

Tomorrow, after my New Testament class, I will be picking George up. Fortunately, his truck is due for service, which they can do here in Lincoln. Otherwise, I'd be driving to Sioux City. (that would make a long night and short sleep) If he was only taking a couple of days off, he could just park here in Lincoln. Since he needs to be with the girls, while I'm gone, they would have made him turn the truck in at Sioux City.

Thursday, I will be giving a crash course on my job to a temporary employee. After work, pick up the vans and load equipment packed Monday night. Go home and finish my own packing.

Friday, pick up four bags of ice (for the coolers) and be at church by 7 a.m. (take a nap? lol)

Then you will have to wait for the rest of the story...when I return!

Have a good trip. Remember, you are the adult.
Tell George, Jaydee & Kendra to have a good trip also.
Love, Mom
